Announcements are gaining momentum as we drive toward the big Warehouse Move, Fall Town Hall, and other regional events. Stay tuned in by subscribing to the Announce email list.
Remember, if you have something you’d like to contribute to the Flame or Announce, use the Flipside Flame / Announce Submission Form to send it in. Announce tends to be at the beginning of the month, and Flames usually get published around the middle of the month. Get me the info at least a week before then, and I’ll do my best to get your contribution included.

Warehouse Move Updates
Do you like scrap metal? Gear triage? Sorting through a decade’s worth of art sediment? Organizing things? Do you stay up late during weeknights? Have a truck? Then, the warehouse move team is for you!
Starting now, we’re sorting through the stuff in the existing warehouse–every Church Night and weekend until the end of September. Over Labor Day, we’ll have a big push to stage for the move, and then over Sept 12-13th, we’ll rent big trucks and do the final push. In between then and now, if you’d like to be on the list of people who get first crack at the loot pile, or are a part of the spur of the moment midnight runs from one warehouse to the next, contact warehouse-move@burningflipside.com to get on the warehouse move email list.
The Warehouse is moving to a new location (that will be revealed early to volunteers), and we need your help! Fill out the Warehouse Move Signup to stay in the know about when/where/how you can help us get things done.
It’s a big job, but if a lot of us help, and we take it slow and steady, we can get this done with minimal effort. NEW WAREHOUSE! Let’s do this.

Combustion Chamber Meetings
We are jumping our normal every other week CC scheduling because of Burning Man. See some of you out in the dust , the others when we get back . Travel safely, have adventures.
The Combustion Chamber is an advisory committee to the Austin Artistic Reconstruction LLC to facilitate community input & transparency for the policy-making process and organization of burn community events. CC meetings each start at 7:42 pm at the Warehouse. Special topics are as follows:
September 14th topics:
- LLC/Regionals/AF Updates – “Let’s Catch Up” on what’s happening with the LLC, Regionals, and Area Facilitators.
- Town Hall Planning/run through – Go over the agenda for Fall Town Hall, and get ready for the big show.
- Calendaring – What topics will be covered at future CC meetings? When? Find out!
- Exodus – Leaving Burning Flipside and You! An exercise in patience.
