The Coffin

The coffin is, as the name implies, a simple wooden coffin, designed to be burned. The coffin will be partly pre-assembled for structural integrity, and finished on site (see "interactivity".) It is designed as an interactive piece, allowing participants to place items, inscriptions, etc in/on the coffin as a way to release and give a "good death" to burdensome objects, feelings, or ideas. Unlike the Temple at TTITD, it is designed not as a solemn memorial, but as a "good riddance to bad garbage" tribute - irreverent, while being cathartic and iconic.
