Area: Safety
The Meteorology Consultant (or Lead) is a single-volunteer department of Burning Flipside.
Responsibilities and Tasks
On Burn Night, the Meteorology Consultant is responsible for collaborating with the LLC, landowner, and Pyropolis Fire Safety Team to identify and track any weather that could present a safety hazard to either individuals or property.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, monitoring local weather reports and utilizing any available technology onsite. Ideally, this Lead will have familiarity in interpreting radar and weather patterns for the Pyropolis microclimate.
