Pyropolis Emergency Team (PETs)

Pyropolis Emergency Team or PETs are Pyropolis' medical team. PETs are primarily present to help with serious or life-threatening injuries or impairment. Examples include broken limbs, heart attacks or dehydration. We will facilitate transferring patients to a higher level of care when appropriate. We can also help with minor illnesses and injuries.
Becoming a PET
Welcome to the Burning Flipside Pyropolis Emergency Team's (PETs) Wiki page. If you are reading this, you're probably interested in volunteering with Flipside's medical team. Here you will find all you need to join PETs and plan and prepare for the job and the event. The Safety Team and I thank you for your interest!

TO GET STARTED
Send an email to [pets12@burningflipside.com ] with the following information:
- Legal Name
- Playa name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Credential (RN, EMT, MD, CNA, etc)
- BLS for Healthcare provider expiration date
- PET, ESD or other regional medical experience
- City, State?
- T-Shirt size & type (tank or regular)
- Planned Camp location, if you know

PETs and ICS
PETs fall under the Incident Command System. PETs are an integral part of the ICS. PETs:
- Act as medical first responders during an incident.
- Coordinate with off site medical personnel as needed.
