On Volunteering
Like playing Kick the Can? There'll be kicking.
Do you like playing with fire? There's burning.
Care to ride around the grounds in an all-terrain vehicle helping folks get gone?
Volunteer for Clean-up and really have some fun.
Perks
- Stay late: It's true, volunteers often stay until Tuesday getting an extra day of work and a night of serious fun
- Meet new people: I really don't have words to describe how much more fun you'll have after busting ass on a project and then kicking it after
- Play new games: Want to burn more things? Gather the Effigy pile and keep it burning! Everything else is unplanned and typically pyro-maniacal. Muahaha.
Plus!
Find a close-knit team of makers, play with cool tools, and find really amazing pieces of art. And then burn 'em.
Site Sign-off and Clean-up Volunteering
Camp Visiting
On Friday, Drive around with Thomas and meet Theme Camp Crew. Leer at cute boys. Ogle cute girls. Comment on people's choice of feathered boas (MOOP) and sequined bikini briefs (even more #$@^%#$ MOOP)

On Monday, after The Burn, we'll go around and see who needs help doing what. We'll help people moop and sweep their camps so they can head home. We'll find Recycling or Other Crew to help camps tear down.
Lastly, there's the site drive-by. Scan the grounds and make notes on what's clear and what's not. Double-check the clearing of street signs, toilets, gates, lighting and other infrastructure and relay messages to the appropriate Leads.

Effigy Clean-up
On Monday, after The Burn, we've got a gorgeous mar of a Burn Scar to clear. Bright-eyed and awake, come ready to turn ash, scrape earth and magnetically gather metal. We'll burn burn burn the leavings. Clean-up will supply the tools. You supply the will.
If you can pull an all-nighter and still rock your lover's world, you're what we're talking about.
