This Week (4/25-5/02)

oh shit 3 weeks to load-out! but, wait, we're already running out of things to do... we've ordered some washers for our 7"x5/8" bolts that hold the derrick sides together. we'll probably assemble the skeleton structure and see about tipping it up, now that we have a Gay Porn Box to keep the dancers straight. once we get the washers, we might erect a derrick as well, and soon we can toss in the deck frames (gotta make mounts for those too). heads are finishing up, tiara is made, tits are formed, and we need to start on the cowboy hat. and meetings! and order lights! and pyro parts! OMG ONLY 3 WEEKS!!!

This Week (4/19-4/25)

we're exactly half way through our build, and on schedule and budget! we're finishing up small parts (ring supports, skin strips, charring), nearing completion on our deck frames and accouterments (heads, tits, corsage, boutonniere, etc), glueing and screwing our last 2 derrick sides' beams (a very frustrating and strenuous task), readying the dancers to be laid out for joint fabrications, welding major support braces, planning the burn (OMFG it's gonna be awesome - imagine apocalyptic battlefield and i'll say no more!), and purchasing lighting/electricity materials.
