Town Hall Announce
Howdy Flipside friends,
At Town Hall this year we announced that the event had oversold our 2,468 population mark by about 200. This means that some people will not be receiving tickets for this year's event. While we won't know until we open every envelope exactly how many folks won't be getting tickets, we're still fairly certain that some peoples' orders will have to be sent back.
I want to let you know a few things: 1. All orders sent within the window are counted equally; i.e. orders postmarked on the 27th are given the same priority as ordered postmarked on the 20th.
2. We will be sending out email confirmation announcements to everyone to let them know if they got tickets or not as soon after we process the orders as possible. This should be in a couple of weeks.
3. If you did not receive tickets, do not lose hope. Many people overbuy tickets for themselves; there will be some floating around. Bob's List will be up and running as soon as possible in order to help folks find tickets. People will realize that for some reason or another they're not going to be able to make it and sell their tickets.
4. Do NOT pay more than 80.00 for an adult ticket; anyone found scalping tickets will be publicly shamed. Our community does not support that sort of activity.
5. Please don't harass our ticket team. We carefully control the event's growth so that our infrastructure can support the population of the event each year. Please believe me when I say: we WANT to make sure everyone gets a ticket, and having to tell someone that we can't fill their order hurts us more than you may realize.
6. If your order is sent back, you will get your money back. We'll post the best and easiest way to do this once we do a little research.
Please bear with us while we go through this process. We're doing all we can to make sure we give folks as much time as possible to find tickets if they don't receive them from mail-in orders. We also realize that many of you might have been planning for this for quite some time; I can't express this enough - it breaks our heart to have to send any ticket orders back.

Great news, we did not have to implement the random selection policy.
There were some ticket requests that had to be sent back, so check your "Request Status" by visiting www.burningflipside.com/tickets.
If you see a status of "Request Accepted" then you will be receiving your ticket(s), anything else send us an email to tickets@burningflipside.com with your ticket request id for further assistance.
If you signed up to have your tickets mailed to you, we will be sending them via your chosen method of delivery on March 16th; please allow several days for delivery.
Alternatively, if you would like to pick up your tickets early, we will be offering a pick-up at the Warehouse in Austin on March 11th from 8pm-10pm. For directions, please see www.burningflipside.com/warehouse.
Please bring a valid ID when you come to pick up your ticket order. If you opted to have your tickets mailed to you but you choose to pick them up, you will have the option to donate your postage costs to either AAR, LLC or to Art Garden. We will not be able to refund any postage costs.
If you’re bringing minors to the event, please make sure that you bring their ticket and proof of legal guardianship. (See your Survival Guide insert for more details and approved methods of proof of guardianship)

Here are the places LLC would like Back of Ticket info. Obviously Survival Guide is not your responsibility. ~Beth Places where back of ticket language should go: 1. On the back of the ticket 2. In the Survival Guide 3. On the order form that /everyone/ must print out. (hey, you know, we might want to include a 'click if you understand this' box on the form that folks /must/ click before they're allowed to print their form out (we won't accept ones not clicked, etc...could return a 0 or 1 value on a spreadsheet indicating whether someone complied or not) 4. Included in all ticket transfer emails, as we are requiring an email for any transfer to be considered valid. (Along with a soft copy of the Survival Guide.)
