Recycling is very important to Pyropolis, and the Flipside Recycling volunteers make it happen. We run Recycling Camp, assist fellow Flipizens with their recycling needs during the event, and transport the materials we collect to recycling facilities after Flipside is over. Thank you for volunteering for Pyropolis Recycling 2012! This wiki is here to help you sign up for Recycling Camp volunteer activities and shifts, and to keep track of what you volunteered for. Pre-Event
Planning for recycling starts in January. We need people who have ideas for constructing and decorating Recycling Camp and ideas for how to run recycling operations. We also need people who can provide the knowledge and skill to build a can crusher. As it gets closer to the event, we need folks who can help make signs and maintain infrastructure. If you are interested in participating in recycling pre-event activities, email the Recycling Lead [recycling12@burningflipside.com ]

During the Event
During Flipside, we need volunteers to oversee the recyclable drop-off, make sure things get sorted into the correct bins, and deal full bins. We also need shift leads to coordinate volunteers. If you want to volunteer at Recycling Camp, be prepared to work and get your a little dirty! Sign up for volunteer shifts below or email the Recycling Lead if you have trouble editing the wiki. If you don't want to disclose your email address publicly, you can leave that field blank but make sure to email the Recycling Lead so we have a means of communicating with you.

Post-Event
After Flipside, we need volunteers to load all the recyclables into a truck Monday night and/or Tuesday morning, and volunteers to help unload the truck at the Recycling Center (Ecology Action in Austin) on Tuesday. If you like lifting things, this job is for you! Sign up below, and if you don't want to disclose your email address publicly, you can leave that field blank but make sure to email the Recycling Lead so we have a means of communicating with you.
