Zone Greeters

Zone Greeters are our volunteers that welcome theme camps to each of the zones on the map at Flipside. Each Zone Greeter will work with the Zone Greeter Shift Leads during their shift to make sure that people find their theme camp location on the map, show them their camp boundaries and to welcome them to Flipside!
We are encouraging people to step outside of their Zone! Don't wait for the camp maps to come out and just volunteer for your Zone but take a chance now and volunteer a random zone and meet some really awesome people who you otherwise wouldn't normally run into.
Zone Shift leads will help coordinate the shift from the Greeters Station and will relay theme camps to the appropriate Zone Greeter Station.
Hours of operations for the Zone Greeters are Thursday and Friday 9AM - Midnight (same as gate hours). There is a special shift on Wednesday to double check flagging and placement as well as help early entry participants find their spots.
Zone Greeters on shift will have a radio, map of their zone, and a list with details about all the camps in the area. The InterZone team will provide a meeting location for each zone where theme camp participants will be directed to meet their zone greeter.
Optionally, members of the InterZone team (Zone Greeters plus any city planning volunteers) can join the team Sunday before the event to help flag theme camp locations and to get familiar with their zone and the map.
IMPORTANT: Wednesday volunteers may enter the site at noon Wednesday. Thursday shift volunteers may enter the site between 4-10PM on Wednesday.
